Welcome
Welcome to Toro Park Animal Hospital (TPAH), your full-service,
local
veterinary hospital. At TPAH we are all animal lovers and pet owners,
so we understand the special bond that exists between you and your
animals. Our mission is to provide expert, compassionate medical care
and education with minimal stress to your valued pet.
Until 2005, Dr. Susan Parry had been the owner of the Portola Animal
Hospital in Toro Park and Los Coches Animal Hospital in Soledad. In
2010, after 5 years in Northern California, Dr. Parry returned to
reopen the animal hospital in Toro Park.
Dr. Parry and her associate veterinarians, Drs. Brynie Kaplan-Dau, Heidi DeVries and Jessica Lightsey, believe the best medical care for your pet comes from time and attention. Our appointment schedule allows us to spend time reviewing your pet's history to help determine current and future needs.
Our commitment to “low stress animal handling” distinguishes Toro Park
Animal Hospital from many other veterinary practices. We understand
vet visits can be stressful, especially for cats and shy dogs. The
staff is educated on the best ways to approach animals and reduce the
intensity of the experience. A certified trainer & behavior coach
works on staff for in-hospital and house-call sessions; we will offer
specific strategies to make veterinary visits easier.
Experience and advanced training enable our doctors to provide
traditional medicine, surgery, and dentistry, as well as acupuncture,
spinal manipulation/chiropractic, rehabilitation programs,
personalized nutrition programs and behavioral counseling. We take
pride in tailoring medical, surgical and vaccination plans for
individual circumstances. Rather than “one size fits all,” we present
options and help you choose a plan of care that is best for your pet .
Drop by! Our staff and doctors would love to say hello. We encourage
“happy visits” for all dogs; no appointment is needed; we can dole out
a few treats, some admiration and a pleasant experience.
We look forward to meeting new animals & their humans, as well as
seeing our previous friends.
